Why July’s Legislative Moves Are Helping Ignite U.S. Staking Growth

July 2025 was the most significant month for crypto policy in the U.S., the most important market globally, since the inception of the asset class. Eme Housser and I broke down what this wave of legislation means for staking, especially for institutions evaluating ETH, SOL, and other PoS networks. A few key takeaways: - July marked a historic turning point, with President Trump signing the GENIUS Act, the first major U.S. law focused on digital assets. - The law formally legalizes stablecoins and rejects state-issued CBDCs, signaling clear support for free market crypto infrastructure. - Over 50 percent of activity on proof-of-stake networks is driven by stablecoins, so this policy shift directly supports the core economic engines of these ecosystems: stakers and validators. - The House also passed the CLARITY Act which now heads to the Senate. It outlines how regulatory oversight will be split between the SEC and CFTC, and affirms that protocol staking is not a securities offering. Full piece here: https://lnkd.in/eyDfswt9
